Sophisticated matte-ness

Recently I received a polish I had long been doubting about. The thing is, one day you'll just have to buy it, or the thought will keep haunting you.
I'm talking about Russian Navy Matte. I know that every polish can easily be mattified with a matte topcoat, and therefore there is no real sense in buying a matte polish. They apply like wallpaint after all. But somehow the Russian Nave matte always looked so posh to me. I really love the look of this almost-black velvety textured beauty!

And then I did some cooking, and it started chipping right away. That's another frustrating thing about mattes, they just won't last! So I decided to camouflage it up with a bit of stamping. I picked a Bundle Monster plate and my beloved China Glaze Millenium, and this is how it turned out:

This is taken under artificial light, which makes it look blacker. I absolutely love this! Too bad I'll probably have to take it all off tomorrow!

  1. Oh wow, what happened to your nails lately, they look great! And so does this combo :)
Slap on some top coat I'd say! Matte does add some to it but it probably looks awesome with tc as well and it might last you a bit longer then ofc.

  2. I don´t really like matte finishes, but I love the image you used! And silver and navy go so well together
